1. About the service
Transcribe (transcribe.miniapps.me) is a free online tool that converts the speech in video and audio files into text. It is operated by miniapps.me ("we", "us"). The same service is available in Telegram as @TranscriberAppBot.
By using the website or the bot you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
2. Using the service
The website is free and needs no account. To keep it fast and free for everyone, we limit file size, file length and the number of files per day, and we may block traffic that looks automated or abusive.
The Telegram bot gives a number of free requests per day and lets you buy more with Telegram Stars. Purchases are processed by Telegram and are subject to Telegram's terms. Credits have no cash value and cannot be transferred.
3. Your files and transcripts
You keep all rights to the files you upload and to the transcripts you receive. You give us permission to process your file only for as long as it takes to create the transcript and deliver it to you.
You confirm that you own the recording or have permission to transcribe it, and that doing so does not break any law or anyone else's rights, including copyright and the privacy rights of the people who are recorded.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Upload content that is illegal, or that you are not allowed to share.
- Record or transcribe people without the consent the law requires where you live.
- Upload malware or files designed to harm our systems.
- Use bots, scripts or scrapers to send files in bulk, or resell the service without our written permission.
- Try to get around limits, or disrupt the service for other people.
We may suspend access for anyone who breaks these rules.
5. Transcript accuracy
Transcripts are created automatically by speech recognition software. They can contain mistakes, especially with background noise, music, strong accents, overlapping speakers, names and numbers. Check the text before you rely on it, and do not use it as the only record for legal, medical or financial decisions.
6. Third party services
We use trusted providers to run the service: a hosting provider, a database provider, and a speech recognition provider that converts audio to text. The Telegram bot runs on Telegram. Their own terms apply to how they operate. See the Privacy Policy for what data each of them receives.
7. Availability and changes to the service
We work to keep the service online, but we do not promise that it will always be available or free of errors. We may change, pause or stop any part of the service at any time, including the free plan, file limits and supported formats.
8. No warranty
The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose and non infringement, to the extent the law allows.
9. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss, or for loss of data, profits or business, that comes from using or not being able to use the service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, which for free use is zero.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top of this page shows when they last changed. If you keep using the service after a change, you accept the new terms.
